2007 FIJI CRUSADE REPORT
Jan and I are motivated by love and compassion for the island people, and as we saw the sun setting behind the Fijian mountains from our hotel,
our hearts were so full of thanksgiving and praise. We were preparing to leave for our 25th and final meeting; and then fly back to Hawaii that
night. All we could say was “THANK YOU JESUS. THANK YOU JESUS - FOR ALL THE LIVES YOU HAVE TOUCHED – FOR THOSE YOU SAVED – FOR THOSE YOU HEALED,
FOR THOSE YOU BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY GHOST – AND FOR ALL YOU STRENGTHENED AND ENCOURAGED WITH YOUR WORD”.
We have returned home from a 4-week crusade in Fiji – with a spring in our steps and a song in our hearts.
Over 1,000 people were reached on 2 islands, as we met in 12 different places - from large churches to home meetings. We went where the people
were hungry – from a community center within walking distance of our hotel, to a church in the remote mountainous interior, requiring an almost
5-hour round-trip drive; accessible only by a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
Missionaries Di and Owen Tod were such a blessing as they coordinated every meeting, arranged our lodging, and provided ground transportation for
us. We ministered together with them, declaring the Word of Faith from village to village, from city to city, from town to town, from mountaintop
to valley - seeking out, recruiting, and strengthening God’s Army.
We reached mostly Fijians, but a new work began after an open-air meeting in an Indian Settlement, where 16 Hindus received Jesus as their Savior,
and where many were healed. Another new work was started after a meeting in a town hall on the island of Ovalau, where 25 were saved, and many
healings took place.
People of different denominations and backgrounds joined the meetings. They all had one thing in common - a tremendous hunger for God’s Word.
As the Word came forth, the Holy Spirit was at work removing burdens, and destroying yokes of bondage from the people. Truly it was the Lord’s
doing, and it was marvelous in our eyes.
We will return to Fiji for more meetings; and launch out from there - going deeper into many other South Pacific Island Nations; to bring the
Word of Faith and the message of God’s love to the people who have not yet heard. The islands are ripe for harvest now; and we just can’t stay home!
Thank you partners so much, for your prayers and financial support. Micronesian Life Ministries is excellent ground, and together with God, we are
reaching the Islands of the Pacific with the life-changing, ever-living Word of God. We love doing what God has ordained us to do – to go and bring
forth fruit, and without people like you, this would not be possible.
